Lego Day

Okay, there was plenty of trains today but also Lego.

Before morning snack (scones) we cleared off the dining room table and busted out the Lego. My friend had sent me two mini figures (paleontologist and fencer), and I got my Research Institute out. Box fresh, baby, box fresh.

We talked a lot about what a paleontologist does, and got out our big dinosaur book to learn more and see pictures. I know that this is big stuff for three years but it’s worth not glossing over. Never gloss over as it will just come back and bite you in the bum, right.

The importance of these female scientist mini-figures can not be underestimated even if both Nomi and Zoey prefer bald Lego figures. It’s role models, it’s a conversation starter and you know AWESOME!

I put together the parts of the Research Institute with some help, and as soon as the dinosaur was put together all the female scientists were taking turns to ride it around the lab. Because obviously that is what happens in museums and labs when no one is looking.
