Read Harder: The Martian by Andy Weir

We are in the first post-granny day so it was a pj day. The girls happily played all day as I shifted furniture and cut out multiple pairs of pj pants, caught up on laundry and we all watched the rain pouring down (and Thomas the Tank Engine too). Tomorrow will be much of the same except in clothes and hopefully a walk out.

I finished my first Read Harder book a little over a week ago, The Martian by Andy Weir which I had marked down as the science fiction challenge. Some may argue that it’s not really sci-fi but it’s set on Mars and we haven’t landed humans on Mars yet so that sounds like sci-fi to me.

I loved The Martian. I’m singing its praises to everyone. All I’ll say about the plot is there is a mission to Mars and an astronaut is left behind. It’s a well written page turner, fascinating. Loved it. Go read it now!
