On long days it’s easy to forget

The nice thing about taking photos through out the day and writing a daily post is that I’m reminded about all the things we’ve done as our days are looong, and it’s easy to forget.

When the kids declare they’d rather go to bed than eat stir fry chicken noodles it’s easy to forget that they made their own paper glasses this morning; using their sunglasses as a model since the first pair they made was too small.

When it takes 40 minutes to buy two birthday gifts online because of a super slow computer and antsy kids you forget the smiley cuddly faces as you all picked the books for their cousin.

When you are trying to study Latin or clean the fridge with constant interruptions it’s easy to forget that they asked you to join in building a fire station.

And finally, when you are trying to get toddlers to eat their lunch (when it’s not sandwiches) it’s easy to forget all the great questions they asked, and how you all looked up what hair and eyeballs are made of.

This whole post is great but I might be most fond of seeing “fucking” in the background of the picture of the three of you. I can’t wait to meet you in person!

I love this! And i totally agree. This is why I take photos of all we do- so that at the end of the day I can remind myself of that rather than sweating about the not-so-good bits.
