“Mummy, do you have any important work for us?”

I have nothing but important work for Zoey and Nomi. I value their input and help which is why Zoey asked, and I told them they could roll the dough for the pie lids. Very important work.

We got a couple of house projects finished today. I tided up the art supply area yesterday and dug out two spice racks that needed stenciling so they turn into book shelves for the girls’s room. Nomi and Zoey asked to do the stenciling, they’ve seen me stencil a lot so I figured why not. What’s the worse that can happen?

Nothing but pure awesome!

They picked their stencil/color and I helped tape them on. I gave them a brief demo of dab-dab-dab, and they were off!

We left them to dry and then went on to tackle the leaf compost situation in the back garden. I’d got the posts in yesterday in the wet soil, and today we got the fencing around it and started filling it. You’ll note that Nomi is still rocking her paper hat.

Of course that only took us up to lunchtime and then I flatlined as the flu jab is making me feel grotty. Zoey deduced (correctly in my opinion) that I must have had more of the shot than daddy for me to be feeling unwell.

The rest of the day was low key you know apart from the bike ride and the whole twin toddler thing. They camped out on a table to draw whilst waiting on Granny to pick up the bat signal for a story.

Tomorrow we water the leaves, and the rest of the day is a blank.
